NEWSLETTER APRIL, 2009
On Saturday, the 25th, eleven shooters attended the Rangers
April, 2009 match. Match Director The
Powder Wash Kid used the match to test stages that will be used next month
during our Annual Where the Old West Stayed Young match.
Set-up was done on Friday afternoon and take-down right after the match
with everyone pitching in. We were
finished by 1:00PM and pretty near everyone headed for the gun show.
Scrap Iron from
Steamboat joined us again and along with Colorado Hank, Soda Creek Jack, The
Powder Wash Kid, Sidewinder Sadie, Snowy Creek Angel, Evil Twin, I B Oneeye, Broken
Spoke Colorado, That Away Gal and Sagebrush Burns made up the April posse.
Regular monthly
matches will continue on the fourth Saturday of the month, June through
September. Our schedule for 2009
follows:
May 23 & 24 – annual “Where the
Old West Stayed Young” match
June 27 – monthly match
July 25 – monthly match
August 22 – monthly match
September 26 – monthly match
The theme for this
year’s annual match will be the movie “Maverick” and we’re looking forward to
having some fun with Bret and Annabelle and the rest… To contact match director The Powder
We are always on the
lookout for ideas for stages and side matches for our monthly and annual
matches. If it can be done safely and
won’t contribute to economic disaster or illegal immigration we’ll likely give
it a try. Keep up with the Rangers on
the Bears Ears Sportsman Club (BESC) web site at: www.bearsears.org.
